indium trihydroxide - Introduction
Indium(III) hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula In(OH)3. It is a white solid, almost insoluble in water at room temperature. It can be made by reacting indium metal with sodium hydroxide (or ammonium hydroxide). The morphology and structure of Indium(III) hydroxide can be controlled by adjusting the reaction conditions during the preparation process.
Indium(III) hydroxide has a number of important uses in the chemical industry. First, it can be used as a precursor of semiconductor materials for the preparation of semiconductor nanomaterials and thin films.
